Update: Damage from strip mall fire estimated up to $1.5 million
Structural damage to a strip mall in Glendale that was ravaged by a fire on Monday is estimated between $1.5 million and $750,000, according to fire officials.
Firefighters knocked down the three-alarm blaze in the strip mall at 621 E. Glenoaks Blvd. around 11:45 a.m. after it broke out just before 10 a.m.

The strip mall houses a dry cleaning business, beauty salon, pizza restaurant, floral shop and deli and grocery store.
Glenoaks Boulevard was closed from Jackson to Geneva streets as 75 firefighters, some coming from Burbank, Pasadena and South Pasadena fire departments, battled the flames, fire officials said.
Public safety officials evacuated homes and buildings adjacent to the strip mall.
No injuries have been reported, according to fire officials.
