A Montrose man was ordered to stand trial Thursday on charges that he broke into actress Sandra Bullock’s home last June, officials said.

Joshua James Corbett, 39, was held on all 26 charges, which include one count each of burglary and stalking, along with 24 weapon-related charges, according to his criminal complaint.

Early one Sunday morning last June, Corbett allegedly climbed over a fence to access Bullock’s West Los Angeles property and broke inside while she was home alone.

Bullock locked herself in her bedroom closet and called the police after hearing a “loud crash” and what appeared to be a man in a dark sweatshirt and dark pants going up the stairs to her attic, according to a transcript of her 911 call.

Transcript of Bullock’s police call:

She later said she initially thought it was the wind blowing one of the windows shut, but then she saw the suspect.

While she was on the phone with the dispatcher and still locked in the closet, Bullock heard someone “banging on the door” to her bedroom. The banging stopped shortly after.

Police arrived within minutes and took Corbett into custody. The call ended after the dispatcher told her it was safe to open her bedroom door because police were outside.

Police found photos of Bullock in Corbett’s pockets, a letter portraying himself as her husband and the love of his life, and a concealed weapon permit from Utah, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“Sandy. I’m sorry. Please don’t press charges,” Corbett allegedly shouted as he was taken into custody, the Times reported.

The day after the break-in, police recovered eight machine guns, three assault weapons and 10 destructive devices in his home, according to the district attorney’s office.

Corbett was being held in lieu of $2.1-million bail and is due in court later this month, according to the district attorney’s office.
