The Armenian community in Glendale has reacted to the attacks on the Syrian city of Kessab, which Armenians consider to be their historic homeland, with a social media campaign and protests at the consulate in Glendale, and Turkish embassy in Los Angeles. People at the protests have toted handmade signs reading, “#SaveKessab,” the hashtag that has been used to create the social media campaign on the issue.
