Glendale police released security photos this week of men who allegedly stole items from two local retailers in separate incidents.

Photos were released on Monday of two men who allegedly used fraudulent purchase orders to steal electrical wire from a Home Depot store earlier this month and are believed to be responsible for a series of similar thefts.

The suspects entered the store, located at 5040 San Fernando Road, at 8:13 a.m. on July 4 and presented allegedly fake will-call order documents to the cashier that indicated they had paid for the Romex electrical wire, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

The two men then left the store and loaded the wire onto the back of a black Chevy S-10 pickup truck from the early 2000s and drove off, Lightfoot said.

She added the suspects likely stole wire using the same method from other Home Depot locations in the area.

One of the suspects is described as 22 to 33 years old, 5 feet 10 to 6 feet tall with medium-length black hair as well as a mustache and goatee.

The other suspect is described as between 35 and 42 years old, 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1 with a heavy build, buzzed hair, a mustache and a goatee.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. Travis Goodreau at (818) 548-2097.

On Tuesday, police released photos of two men who allegedly stole three bottles of tequila from a Vons store.

Surveillance footage shows that on June 30 around 8 p.m., the suspects entered the store at 3233 Foothill Blvd. separately, said Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot.

They met in the liquor aisle, where one of the suspects grabbed three bottles of Jose Cuervo 1800 tequila and placed them in a dark colored backpack, while the other acted as a lookout, Lightfoot said.

They left separately with one of the suspects carrying the backpack and fled northbound on Pennsylvania Avenue in a green Toyota or Honda from the mid-to-late 2000s, she said.

The man who allegedly stuffed the bottles in a backpack was described as between 25 and 30 years old, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 9 with a medium build, black hair, a goatee and mustache. He was wearing glasses and had a gold crucifix necklace.

The other suspect was between 25 and 30 years old, 5 feet 11 to 6 feet 1 with a thin build and short brown hair. He was also wearing glasses.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Det. Kelly Kramer at (818) 548-2097.
