Major injuries result from two-car collision on Ventura Freeway

[UPDATE: 3:15 p.m.] A Sig Alert was cleared at 3:01 p.m. following a two-car collision on the connector from the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway to the Golden State (5) Freeway that resulted in major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A witness called in to report a white van had rolled over four times then went over the side of the freeway, according to the highway patrol agency.

A second vehicle – a grey Honda – was also reported as spinning out across the connector, although the details of the collision are still being investigated.

The City of Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene.

A Sig Alert was issued at 2:03 p.m.and cleared after about an hour.

The number of people injured is currently unknown, but according to initial reports, one party was possibly ejected from a vehicle.
