Sports Roundup: Flintridge Prep boys’ soccer still unbeaten in Prep League

BOYS’ SOCCER

Flintridge Prep 1, Webb 0: The Rebels prevailed in Friday afternoon’s Prep League road match on the strength of a Bryce Delgado second-half score.

In goal, Hamilton Evans had six saves for the shutout, as the Rebels improved to 9-3-1 and 2-0-1 in league.

Glendale 2, Muir 0: Menua Nazarian had a pair of goals Friday to spark the host Nitros in a Pacific League match. Glendale improved to 8-5-2, 2-2-1 in league.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Crescenta Valley 3, Pasadena 0: Grace Keller had a goal and two assists to lead the Falcons to a Pacific League win at home on Friday.

Courtney Ianello and Hannah Weingarten also had goals for the Falcons (3-6-1, 3-1-1), who posted their fourth league shutout. Natalia Victoria and Izzy Costilla also had assists.

Burbank 5, Hoover 1: The Tornadoes were tied at 1 at halftime, but gave up four second-half goals to fall at home Friday afternoon.

Emily Sawitskas scored for Hoover (2-3 in league) off a Remi Miller assist.

Glendale-Muir: The Nitros’ Pacific League road game was postponed on Friday due to poor air quality from the nearby Colby fire. It will likely be played Wednesday or Thursday.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Loyola 65, St. Francis 47: Evan Crawford finished with a team-high 12 points Friday for the visiting Golden Knights in a Mission League game. Kyle Leufroy added nine points for St. Francis, which fell to 11-6, 1-3 in league.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Glendale 62, Muir 46: Kristina Sahakian had another big night, scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds to lead the Nitros to a Pacific League win at home.

Glendale (8-11, 2-3) also received nine points and six rebounds from Ivet Satorian, with Claire Yanai scoring 10 points and grabbing three steals and Sylvia Vartazarian Haftvani scoring nine and grabbing five boards.

Crescenta Valley 60, Pasadena 22: Tanisha Minassian led all scorers with 17 points as the Falcons were impressive on Friday night in picking up a Pacific League road victory.

Senior Ella Stepanian added 11 for Crescenta Valley (13-6, 4-1), which enjoyed a 2-1 run through league play this week.

Flintridge Prep 29, Webb 28: The visiting Rebels picked up a Prep League win Friday. The Rebels are 10-2, 2-0 in league.

Burbank 66, Hoover 26: The Tornadoes fell to 4-6 and 2-3 in Pacific League play with Friday evening’s road loss. Nairi Sevajian had 12 points for Hoover.

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 57, Louisville 48: The host Tologs picked up their first Mission League win Thursday. Flintridge Sacred Heart improved to 6-12, 1-2 in league.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Crescenta Valley 17, Arcadia 7: Lynley Fernandez finished with seven goals Thursday to spark the host Falcons in a Pacific League match. Crescenta Valley improved to 11-3, 2-0 in league.
