Sports Roundup: Flintridge Prep volleyball beats Glendale in four

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Flintridge Prep 3, Glendale 1: The host Rebels received 19 kills, 13 digs and six aces from Dante Fregoso en route to a 25-10, 25-17, 26-28, 25-13 nonleague win Monday. Aldridge Khin added 38 assists, Trip Westmoreland had 13 kills and Zach Picker collected 16 digs for the Rebels (9-4). Glendale fell to 3-7.

SOFTBALL

Hart 4, Crescenta Valley 3: Crescenta Valley (5-5) fell Saturday in a Woodbridge Tournament game. Earlier Saturday in a tournament contest, Crescenta Valley dropped a 6-0 decision to Fountain Valley.

Alhambra 9, Flintridge Prep 0: The visiting Rebels (3-9) dropped a nonleague game Saturday. Therese Oshiro had two hits for Flintridge Prep and struck out six batters.

COLLEGE SOFTBALL

Glendale Community College 6, Pasadena City College 4: Cassandra Soto and Vivian Topete finished with two hits apiece and drove in a pair of runs Saturday to lift the visiting Vaqueros (14-15) in a nonconference contest. Rebecca Hernandez had two hits and a run batted in for Glendale.

COLLEGE BASEBALL

Bakersfield College 4, Glendale Community College 2: Visiting Glendale suffered a Western State Conference South Division game Saturday. Glendale (15-11, 10-5 in the division) received two hits and one run batted in from Nick Padilla.
