Sports Roundup: Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy swimming posts a few top efforts at prelims

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy at CIF Southern Section Division I prelims: The Tologs put together a strong morning session at Thursday’s prelims at the Riverside Aquatics Center, with three first-place efforts, led by the relays.

The Tologs 200-yard medley squad took the top position with a mark of 1 minute, 47.57 seconds, while the 200 freestyle squad was also No. 1 in 1:35.94.

Kirsten Vose also swam away to first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.18 and was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.59.

Vose competed with teammate Kate Herrill in the 100 breaststroke and Herrill claimed sixth in 1:04.43. Herrill was also eighth in the 50 freestyle in 23.62

While Katie Altmayer missed the championship top-nine cut, the Tologs swimmer still advanced to the Division I finals on Saturday in the consolation bracket as she was 12th in the 100 butterfly (57.16) and 18th in the 200 freestyle (1:53.72).
