Sports Roundup: St. Francis soccer picks up first win

BOYS’ SOCCER

St. Francis 6, Chatsworth 1: Jacob Anderson had two goals and one assist Friday to lead the host Golden Knights (1-1-3) in a consolation match of the Ralph Brandt Tournament. Alex Pidoux, Carlo Taglioretti, Grant Gonzalez and Griffin O’Brien each scored a goal for St. Francis.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Flintridge Prep 75, Simi Valley 59: Jedrick Eugenio finished with 20 points, including 12 from three-point territory, to lead the Rebels (2-2) to a victory in the fifth-place game of the Falcon Classic at Crescenta Valley High. Robert Cartwright had 17 points for Flintridge Prep, which got 16 points and 12 rebounds from Kareem Ismail and 12 rebounds from Tyler Weakland.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy 70, Maranatha 25: Jenna Tran had 21 points and eight rebounds and Dana Budzyn collected 10 points and 11 rebounds Friday in a pool-play game of the Pasadena Poly Tournament. Flintridge Sacred Heart (5-3) will next take part in the tournament’s third-place game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday against Verdugo Hills.
