A fire badly damaged a single-family home early Wednesday in Glendale, but its occupants made it out unharmed thanks to a neighbor’s quick thinking, police said.
Scott Studenmund, a Flintridge Preparatory School graduate, was one of five soldiers killed in what is being investigated as a “friendly fire” incident in Afghanistan.
Charles Herbert “Herb” Vincent, former chairman of the Burbank Planning Commission, president of the Burbank Noon Kiwanis Club and member of the Burbank Historical Society, passed away last Friday. He was 86.
