Woman allegedly has breast groped by suspect

An 80-year-old woman allegedly had one of her breasts groped on Wednesday by a male teenager who was in a car and stopped to ask for directions, police said.

An unidentified four-door, black vehicle occupied by male teens between the ages of 15 and 17 pulled up to the victim who was walking near the intersection of Tyler Street and Palmer Avenue at about 2:15 p.m., said Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.

An unknown suspect sitting in the passenger seat asked her for directions, Lorenz said.

Unable to hear well, she walked closer to the vehicle.

As she stood next to the vehicle, the suspect grabbed one of her breasts and fled in the vehicle as the occupants laughed, Lorenz said.

“Shocked and disgusted with having just been sexually assaulted, she momentarily froze,” he said.

The suspect is described as white, 5 feet 4, with curly, black hair and a medium build. He was wearing a black T-shirt.

The victim told police she had seen him walking around the neighborhood previously and could identify him if spotted again, Lorenz said.
