5K race is Sunday at OC Fair

Orange County Marathon organizers are offering folks a little bit of a warm-up Sunday for fair visitors who want to get their blood flowing before gulping down soda and cotton candy.

Fair and marathon organizers are hosting a 5K run 9 a.m. Sunday at the fairgrounds. Participants can get a medal and special pass to get in when the grounds open later in the afternoon. There will also be a closing celebratory 5k run on Aug. 15.

The fair pass also includes a pass for the weekend marketplace. Registration is $35 for Sunday’s run or $60 for Sunday’s run and the Aug. 15 event.
