‘Gasland’ Discussion

A sandwich lunch will be the forum for a further discussion of the film “Gasland,” which is about the dangers of extracting natural gas. The talk begins at noon at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 429 Cypress Drive. The cost for lunch is $5. The proceeds will be used to fund meals at the Alternative Sleeping Location.

Insomnia Presentation

Helene Farr, a doctoral student in clinical psychology, offers a free presentation on insomnia at

2:30 p.m. at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. It will demonstrate hands-on ways to alleviate the problem without medication, including cognitive-behavioral

interventions, sleep restriction therapy, sleep hygiene, light therapy and various relaxation techniques.

Table Tennis Tournament

The Susi Q Senior Center will host a table tennis tournament from 1 to 4 p.m. at the center, 380 Third. St. Registration forms and information are available at the center.
