Pilates by Ando


Arthur D. Ando, a physical therapist and Pilates expert, will give a workshop on “The five-step functional approach,” as part of Orange Coast College’s fifth annual Pilates Guest Speaker series. The workshop is from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the OCC Art Center, Room 148, Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road. Speak Up Newport

Orange County Supervisor John Moorlach will headline the monthly Speak Up Newport meeting with a talk, “Orange County: A Model During a Period of Municipal Meltdown.” The program, which is from 6 to 7 p.m., will follow a reception from 5:30 to 6 p.m, at the Newport Beach Yacht Club, 1099 Bayside Drive. Check out the 15 structures made out of canned foods that will be displayed throughout South Coast Plaza during Festival of Children, all of which will later be donated to the Orange County Food Bank.
