E-Book Training

Newport Beach Public Library offers a hands-on eBook training session from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Central Library Friends Room, 1000 Avocado Ave., Newport Beach. Library staff will demonstrate Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iPad and Sony readers and provide personal instruction for downloading free eBooks from the Overdrive site. UCI Cuts Ribbon On New Building

The Pacific Symphony honors Paul McCartney and Veterans Day with its (A Tribute To) Paul McCartney and The American Hero concert. Part one of the show features popular songs from World War II, sung by Sue Raney. Part two is a symphonic tribute to McCartney's iconic songs, led by Tony Kishman and his band and conductor Richard Kaufman. Five-Alarm Cooking
