Local Easter Events

Torelli Realty will host its annual Egg Hunt from 9:30 a.m. to noon at Tanager Park, 1780 Hummingbird Drive, Costa Mesa. The event will be open to the community.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Mesa Verde United Methodist Church hosts an Easter egg hunt and lunch. The cost to attend is $5 per family or $3 per individual. The church is at 1701 Baker St., Costa Mesa.

Mariners Church in Irvine will have Easter services at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The church’s Irvine campus is at 5001 Newport Coast Drive.

Mariner’s Church in Irvine will also host two Easter Egg “scrambles,” a daytime one at 3:30 p.m. and a nighttime one at 7:30 p.m, as part of an event where Mariners will hide 50,000 Easter Eggs for small children who will be taking part in scrambles at the church’s three campuses in Orange County. Evening participants should bring a flashlight.

Community Clean-Up

The ZeroTrash Corona del Mar chapter meets at 10 a.m. at Avila’s El Ranchito Mexican Restaurant, 2515 E. Coast Hwy., CdM, on the first Saturday of each month. The group will disperse for two hours of clean-up work and then meet back up at El Ranchito’s at noon. For more information, go to https://www.zerotrash.org.

Donation Drive

The CARE Club at Orange Coast College will be collecting gently used clothes, household goods, electronics, sporting equipment and furniture in Parking Lot C, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. The club is collaborating with Goodwill of Orange County to raise funds for scholarships and funds for Goodwill’s Community Youth Donation Drive. OCC is at 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa.

‘Emperor’s River’

Photographer Philipp Scholz Rittermann will give a lecture at 2 p.m. to open his “Emperor’s River” photographic exhibit at Orange Coast College, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. The free lecture will take place in the campus’ Robert B. Moore Theatre, followed by an artist’s reception from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavilion. The event is sponsored by the OCC School of Photography and the Month of Photography Los Angeles. The exhibit goes through April 27. The Doyle Arts Pavilion is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Easter Sunday Double-Header in CdM

The Corona del Mar Community Church holds an Easter Sunrise Worship at Lookout Point, corner of Heliotrope Avenue and Ocean Boulevard in Corona del Mar. A sunrise church service will take place at 7 a.m. in Pavilion E at Newport Dunes. At 11 a.m., a bike decorating contest will take place followed by a bike parade at 1 p.m. The Back Bay Bistro will also be serving Easter Brunch.
