Pet of The Week

Perkins is an amiable 2-year-old Labrador Retriever/Staffordshire Terrier mix, who has been described by volunteers as “the perfect dog” and “one of the best pitties we have ever had!”

He is friendly with people and likes other dogs as well. Healthy, neutered, and not at all aggressive, Perkins is calm and easy to walk. He also appears to be house-trained.

A shelter favorite, who arrived as a stray in February, he will definitely “perk” up, if you come visit him. His blue bandana says “Adopt Me,” and that is his heartfelt wish.

Adoption fees for Perkins and all pit bulls/pit mixes are discounted 50%. Donations of new or used collars (adjustable chains preferred) and leashes, especially those that fit large dogs, are urgently needed and always welcome.
