Pet of the Week

In the Greek language, Zena means a friendly, welcoming woman. What better name for our unofficial greeter in kennel No. 1?

Zena is a year-old pit bull terrier mix who welcomes all who enter the shelter with her gentle face, wagging tail and — if you wish — licks. Zena arrived as a stray in April when it was discovered she was pregnant. Soon, she delivered nine healthy puppies and nurtured them all. One by one, each of the puppies was adopted, with the final boy finding his new home last week.

Now, it is Zena’s turn to be welcomed into a household where she will be appreciated for all of her good qualities. She is healthy, spayed, housebroken and well-mannered with everyone she meets. Zena’s adoption fees are discounted 50% all week when you mention this announcement. For more information, call (714) 536-8480 or visit https://www.ochumanesociety.com.
