Laguna to be celebrated at fair

The Orange County Fair will honor Laguna Beach next week as part of its Summer in the Cities promotion.

At 12:30 p.m. on predetermined days, representatives or residents from specific cities in Orange County will lead the flag salute and national anthem in front of The Hanger.

Laguna Beach will be honored Wednesday along with Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods and Laguna Niguel.

Laguna Beach residents can get discounted admission Wednesday by presenting a coupon available at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave., and the library, 363 Glenneyre St.

The fair also features a free multimedia presentation celebrating Orange County every night at The Hanger.

The fair is open from noon to midnight Wednesdays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to midnight Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 11.

General admission is $11, but the cost is $8 for seniors, $6 for kids ages 6 to 12, and free for those younger than 6.
