Heisler Park concerts set for September

A singer and songwriter who toured with Bonnie Raitt for 10 years will be one of four acts performing Fridays in September at Laguna Beach’s Heisler Park, the city announced in a news release.

The city’s Arts Commission will hold free concerts at 5:30 p.m. each of the four Fridays in September at the park’s amphitheater.

Freebo, who played bass for Raitt, will kick off the series Sept. 6. Following that performance will beFiona Grey (whimsical singer and songwriter) on Sept. 13, Michael Becker (guitarist) on Sept. 20 and Mr. Squeeze and the Medicine Men (blues) on Sept. 27.

Laguna Beach lodging establishments and the city are funding the program, the release said.
