Box with a bonus: All Orange County Chick-fil-A locations have partnered with Operation Christmas Child to hand out shoe boxes to be filled with gifts and trinkets for children. The restaurants will give coupons for free chicken sandwiches to all who turn in filled shoe boxes.

Light the night: Fashion Island will celebrate its popular annual tree lighting ceremony, hosted by Disney characters, at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with performances followed by the lighting of the 90-foot tree. Santa will be available afterward for pictures.
