Alliance for the Arts accepting inspiration grant applications

The Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts is accepting applications for the [seven-degrees] of Inspiration grant, a $5,000 prize that will allow the winner to complete a project over the next 11 months.

The alliance will award the grant, funded by the venue [seven-degrees], at the eighth annual Art Star Awards on April 6. Artists of all disciplines can apply for the grant in hopes of designing an innovative arts project or program, which will premiere at the 2015 Art Star Awards.

“This was a perfect opportunity for [seven-degrees] to tangibly demonstrate our commitment to artistic forward thinking and invention, and it is our pleasure to partner with [the alliance] by funding this grant,” said Dora Wexell, executive director of [seven-degrees], in a release.

The Festival of Arts Foundation is taking applications for 2014 Art Grants, which support nonprofits that promote arts in and around Laguna Beach.

“The foundation board anticipates a record number of applications this year and looks forward to giving approximately $120,000 in grants to the qualified recipients,” said Festival of Arts Foundation President Scott Moore in a release.
