Great Train Show keeps a-rollin’ at fairgrounds in Costa Mesa

Share

Train conductors and engineers of all ages rolled into the OC Fair & Event Center on Saturday for opening day of the annual Great Train Show, a weekend-long festival devoted to travel on the rails.

Miniature trains chugged down tracks winding through two buildings at the Costa Mesa fairgrounds. Children could play in Thomas the Tank Engine bounce houses, and families perused more than 300 tables selling model trains and accessories.

The show continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $10; those with tickets from Saturday are eligible for reentry. Children 11 and younger get in free.
