Favorite golf moment: Birdied Santa Ana Country Club’s par-3 11th

hole after carding a 13 on No. 10 in the 1992 Los Novios, an annual

couples tournament at Santa Ana. Couples played using the two-odd,

two-even scoring system. Both players’ scores were used on the even

holes while only one score was needed on the odd numbered holes.

“[On No. 10] I played my ball out to the end. I was almost in

tears,” Lyon said. “Then I almost got a hole in one. It was the high

and low of golf in a span of 20 minutes.”

Zealand.

Favorite hobby outside of golf: Bridge

Family: Husband, Keith; grown daughter Suzanne.

Noteworthy: Won a co-ed tournament at Mercury Bay with Keith as

her caddie after golf course employees invited her to enter. Serves

as president of the ladies group at Santa Ana with vice president

Elena Ferruzzo and partnered with Kathie Young to win a ladies

54-hole tournament at the club in March.
