First Church of Christ Scientist to celebrate 100 years in H.B.

One of the city's oldest churches celebrates its 100-year anniversary this month with a talk Saturday on spiritual healing.

The First Church of Christ Scientist in Huntington Beach is celebrating its centennial year with a free lecture by John Adams, a Christian Science practitioner, called "Oh Boy, What Do I Do Now?"

The talk is free and will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Michael E. Rodgers Seniors Center at 1706 Orange Ave.

The First Church of Christ Scientist dedicated its building on Eighth Street and Olive Avenue in November 1910.
