Police identify senior killed in crash

COSTA MESA — An elderly Costa Mesa man killed in a car crash Saturday was identified as Frank Terreri.

Terreri, 88, died from major head trauma Saturday night after he drove his car into a tree on Fairview Road north of Fair Drive, police said.

According to investigators, Terreri was northbound on Fairview in his gold 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass when the vehicle swerved left and followed a center divider directly into a tree.
