Newport Elementary brings Disney classic to stage

Newport Elementary School students took the stage Friday for the opening night of “Disney’s Alice in Wonderland Junior.”

One hundred, twelve students in the Ace After Class Enrichment program have been rehearsing since September to put on the program’s single annual play, said Deborah Garrett, program director.

The students will have encore performances at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the school, 1327 W. Balboa Blvd.

Tickets are $5 and can be bought at the door.
