Diane Marie Kiesselbach of Laguna Beach, 79, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by all her children on May 11, 2011.
Diane was born in Huntington Park California April 12, 1932 to Henry G. and Marie Catherine Rudolph and attended Huntington Park schools Saint Mathias and graduated High School at St Mary’s. She continued her education at Los Angeles City College graduating with a certificate in the Dental Assisting Program.
She enjoyed a successful and long career of over 25 years in the Cafeteria at Laguna Beach High school. Most of her time was spent in management. Diane was dedicated to her volunteer work with the Saint Catherine of Siena Council of Catholic Women, Gift Shop volunteer at the former South Coast Hospital, and at Saint Catherine’s Parish School where she began a program where young students read to volunteers.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Albert Leo Kiesselbach and her brother Paul Rudolph.
She is survived by her brother, David Rudolph (Meg), Sister In Law Kathleen Davis, MD, children David Kiesselbach(Maria), Ann Pennington (Tim), Kevin Kiesselbach, Julie Sullivan(Gary) and Grandchildren, Michelle, John, Justin, Kenny, Tommy, Deanna, Briana, Nate, Great Grandchildren, Arden and Ben.
Diane loved and gave her endless support to her family and cherished her many friends and neighbors. Her friendly nature endeared her to the students of Laguna Beach High School over the years.
Diane was a resident of Laguna Beach for 48 years of which 45 was spent in the family’s current home.
A memorial mass will be held at Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Laguna Beach on May 17, 2011 at noon. Private internment will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers Diane requested donations to Saint Catherine’s Parish or Parish School.
