Man injured at Costa Mesa motel

COSTA MESA — A man was taken to the hospital after sustaining a neck injury in an altercation at the Ana Mesa Inn, an official with the Costa Mesa Police Department said Thursday.

The 33-year-old man was with a 36-year-old woman at the motel at 3597 Harbor Blvd., near the Costa Mesa-Santa Ana border, when the two Santa Ana residents were confronted by two men about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Bryan Glass.

The injured man was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. The woman was believed to not have sustained any injuries.

The two suspects were described as a white man in his mid-20s, and a Latino in his early 30s.
