District holding water-wise landscaping workshops

Mesa Water District is offering two free workshops about water-wise landscaping.

The first session is from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday and covers basic key points, such as water-saving landscape designs and California-friendly plants, Mesa Water officials said in a news release.

The second session is the same time April 27. It covers more advanced concepts based on the first session, such as rainwater retention techniques and efficient sprinkler systems.

Both workshops are at Mesa Water's headquarters, 1965 Placentia Ave., Costa Mesa.

Seats are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve a spot, email info@mesawater.org or call (949) 631-1200.
