American Legion honors Harbor’s Republican Club

American Legion Newport Harbor Post 291 honored Newport Harbor High School’s Republican Club for raising money for the Wounded Warriors Project.

The student club raised $300 through a doughnut sale at lunch and a collection in history, social studies and government classes.

President Cameron Geehr and Vice President Colin Duffy accepted a check from Post Commander Jess Lawson matching the money the club raised with about 100 American Legion members in attendance.
