Sydney Ngo carded a three-over-par 38 to lead the Costa Mesa High School girls’ golf team to a 263-289 victory over Orange on Monday in an Orange Coast League match at Costa Mesa Country Club.

Also contributing to the team score for the Mustangs were Grace Wilborn (46), Izel Flores (58), Jewel Rubright (59) and Jayde Rubright (62).

Costa Mesa (6-2 overall and in league) takes on Estancia (5-3, 4-2) in the second meeting of the Battle for the Bell rivals on Wednesday at Costa Mesa Country Club. The Mustangs beat the Eagles by a score of 285-293 on Sept. 7.

GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL

Pacifica Christian 3, Rowland Heights Southlands Christian 1: Junior middle blocker Rebecca Penjoyan paced the host Tritons with 11 kills in their 16-25, 25-19, 25-13, 25-23 win on Monday in an Academy League match.

Freshman outside hitter Julia Hanson had eight kills for Pacifica Christian (12-8). Senior middle blocker Emma Blaze and senior setter Logan Bray added four kills apiece, and senior libero Carly Kane provided six service aces and 17 digs.

Pacifica Christian travels to take on Orangewood Academy on Thursday at 4 p.m.
