Breakdown: Corona del Mar travels to take on defending Sunset League champion Los Alamitos, and the winner has the best path to the league title this year. The Sea Kings (6-1, 2-0 in league) are ranked No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section Division 4 poll, while the Griffins (6-1, 2-0) are No. 6 in Division 2 … CdM carries a 32-game winning streak in league play into the contest, the first 30 wins came in the Pacific Coast League. This is the Sea Kings’ first season in the Sunset League … Los Alamitos has won 10 games in a row in the Sunset League … The Sea Kings will have to be able to run the ball to keep Los Alamitos’ offense off the field. The Griffins, like CdM, run a no-huddle offense and score often, to the tune of 39.1 points per game … CdM, which averages 3.1 sacks per game, allows 16.5 points per game… Los Alamitos has finished atop the Sunset League 13 times since joining the league in 1994 … Both teams have won their last six games.
