TORREY PINES — Corona del Mar High finished tied for third with host Torrey Pines in the 32-team tournament Saturday.

Hayley Hodson earned all-tournament team honors. Marymount won the tournament after beating Mater Dei, which beat CdM, 25-22, 25-16, in the Sea Kings’ final match of the day.

CdM (18-5) began the day with a 25-13, 25-20 win over Del Norte of San Diego. Hodson led with 11 kills, while Shannon Grifin (seven digs) and Grace Kennedy had five kills each. Kelsey Humphreys had 17 assists.

Hodson then had 29 kills to lead the Sea Kings to a 35-37, 25-17, 15-12 win over Santa Margarita. Kennedy added six kills.

Newport Rib Company Classic

COSTA MESA — Costa Mesa finished second in its flight after losing to Trabuco Hills, 10-9, Saturday.

Wyatt Ferris led the way with three goals, Quinn Stone and Deighton Tachiki-Urias each had two goals, and Quinn Smith and Nick Lewis added one goal each for the Mustangs.

Costa Mesa goalie James Rydjeski made nine saves.

COSTA MESA — Estancia lost to Santa Ana Valley, 12-3, and Kennedy, 13-3, Saturday.

Jacob Sperling scored three goals overall and Hayden Swift scored two goals for the Eagles (4-12).
