High School Roundup: CdM boys’ lacrosse wins again

CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings improved to 12-0 and increased their winning streak to 36 straight games after their victory Saturday.

Senior Jack Ortlieb had five goals for CdM. Sophomore goalie Hoyt Crance anchored the defense with seven saves.

Seniors Casey Mix (one goal, four assists), Brett Nelson (two goals, one assist), Todd Kitzens (one assist) and Chris Von Der Ahe (one assist) as well as sophomores Ben Palitz (two goals) and Logan Miller (one goal) also contributed.

BASEBALL

Sage Hill 10, Brethren Christian 3

NEWPORT COAST — Freshman Conner Bock went two for four with a triple and three runs batted in for the Lightning in the Academy League game Friday.

Junior Brett Dunlavey was two for three with a double and an RBI for Sage (9-2, 5-1 in league).

Sophomore Parker Reposa got the win going six strong innings giving up three hits and two runs. He struck out seven and walked two, improving to 4-1.

Next week Sage will play host to Oxford Academy on Tuesday and Friday with both games at 3:15 p.m.
