Due to renovation work that has reduced the amount of storage space at the Central Library, Friends of the Glendale Public Library announced Wednesday it’s taking a temporary break from accepting donations of used books at the Harvard Street facility.

Donations can still be made to other Library, Arts & Culture sites during their regular operating hours. Due to limited storage space and manpower, donations are limited to two bags/boxes per week. Used book sales at Central Library Book Nook, on the Friends Amazon.com site and at other Library, Arts & Culture locations will continue during the renovation. The new Book Nook is expected to open in late spring of this year.

Art and music donations continue to be welcome at the Brand Library & Art Center. Those with large donations of those materials are asked to call the Brand Library at (818) 548-2051.
