Share

Girl Scout Troop 2631 participated in a clean-up project one recent morning at Verdugo Park as part of its Journey program.

Each school year, the troop, made up of Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes, chooses a new Journey for the Brownies. . This year, they are working on “Brownie Quest — It’s Your World — Change It.”

“The girls did a great job and I think had a lot of fun,” said Shanna Igoe, who leads the Brownies with Pascale Valderrama.

Cathy Goyette and Cynthia Kelley lead the Juniors and Cadettes.

The final step in earning their Journey honor is for the Brownies to share this experience with friends, family and classmates. The girls are doing this by sharing with their classmates at school and coaches on sports teams.

Girls participating were Cadettes: Daniella DiPaolo, Madison Goyette, Ruby Igoe, Darcy Kelley, Ariana Molski and Madison Valderrama; Juniors: Destiny Givrad, Adele Kelley, Lana Lim; and Brownies: Naomi Fedrick, Kayla Flores, Grace Hall, Roxy Igoe and Ali Valderrama.
