Community: Cabrini quilt donated to preschool

The Cabrini Literary Guild has made a special donation to a local preschool.

Member Ann Herrmann presented the makings of a quilt to fellow member Marie Urrutia, who thought it would be a perfect gift for the preschool at Incarnation Church, where she is a member. She put it together and then had the preschoolers print their hands in the empty squares with colors of their choice.

When it was completed, it was presented for auction and the winner was also a Cabrini member and an Incarnation parishioner — Mary Lou Montagna. She then gifted the colorful quilt to the preschool where it now hangs on the classroom wall.

In appreciation, the children made a scrapbook for Urrutia with their letters of thanks.
