Jo-Ann Mary Eberhardt<br/>June 8, 1934 - September 24, 2014

Jo-Ann Mary (Haskell) Eberhardt, 80 of Glendale, California, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Jo-Ann was born in Hollywood California on June 8, 1934 to Frederick C and Irma L. Haskell. Her parents brought their newest addition home to their residence on Oakridge Drive in Glendale where she grew up with her three sisters, Wanda, Pat and Sharon. She attended Horace Mann Grammar School, Wilson Junior High and Glendale High School graduating with the Class of 1952. After high school, she attended Glendale College for 2 years graduating in one of the schools first nursing classes.

She met her future husband Glenn Eberhardt in the summer of 1954 at a beach house in Laguna Beach where she was staying with 20 girlfriends. She and Glenn dated for 2 years before their engagement in 1956 and marriage in 1957. They settled in Glendale where they raised their three children, Greg, Lori and Jan.

Her home was a second home to many of the friends of her children. She loved having kids around and became like a second mother to many who came to love her.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who loved spending evenings making special meals, playing games and just talking about life. She was always just one of the girls.

Jo-Ann is survived by her husband of 57 years, Glenn Eberhardt; a son and daughter-in-law Greg Eberhardt and Camdon Clark Eberhardt of La Canada, California; two daughters and their husbands: Lori Raleigh and Ken Raleigh of Valencia, California and Jan Davis and Mark Davis of San Diego, California; six grandchildren: Brynne Eberhardt (21), Kendall Eberhardt (18), John Raleigh (14), Abby-Jo Raleigh (11), Lauren Davis (13) and Ellie Davis (8); and three sisters: Wanda Haskell of Glendale, California, Pat Walters and her husband Bill Walters of Phoenix, Arizona and Sharon Wilkinson and her husband Don Wilkinson of Kapaau Hawaii.

A service will be held at the Old North Church at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on Saturday October 4, 2014 at 9 a.m.
