News-Press Pet of the Day: Pecas

Juliet (A391447) and Xavier (A381921), two Pets of the Day from last week, are both still available.

Pecas is a 9-month-old, female, white-and-liver American Staffordshire terrier mix. She is one energetic and playful girl.

She loves going on walks and hanging out with you in the park. If you sit on the ground, she will try to be a lap dog and give you lots of face kisses. She knows her “sit” command, but she would love to learn a few more. Pecas is spayed and ready to go home with you.

The regular dog adoption fee is $125, which includes the spay or neuter surgery, microchip, vaccinations, and a free follow-up health check at a participating veterinarian.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for a pet.

Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A392709, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
