Robert Lee Marsh<br/>June 25, 1920 - August 21, 2014

Robert L. Marsh, MD—surgeon, leader, singer and accomplished world traveler—passed away on August 21, 2014 in Glendale, California. He was 94.

Robert hailed from Lincoln, Nebraska. Always interested in learning, he graduated from Glendale Union Academy and then returned to Lincoln, where he graduated from Union College in 1940. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University in 1943 (class 44B). During WWII he served in the US Air Force as the ranking flight surgeon in Neubiberg, Germany. After surgical training he set up his practice in Glendale, where he practiced for 37 years. He served as Chairman of the Board of Glendale Adventist Academy, established the Ethics Committees at Glendale Adventist Medical Center and Verdugo Hills Hospital and was known for his leadership within the medical community in Glendale, and beyond.

Robert is survived by Marguerite Marsh of Pasadena, CA and their children Christopher L. Marsh, MD, and Victoria Tapper and their families. Robert and Marguerite were married in 1948 and spent 66 years traveling, singing and achieving personal goals in tandem.

A memorial service will be held at Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist Church on September 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Memorial donations should be made to the Robert L. Marsh Funds at the Center for Christian Bioethics at Loma Linda University or the Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
