Barbara Joan Paulus Feb. 21, 1933-June 3, 2012

Barbara Joan Paulus, also known as “Babs” was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who passed from this life on June 3, 2012. To those that knew her she had a wonderfully witty sense of humor and a true passion for reading.
Born February 21, 1933, Barbara was raised in Los Angeles, attending local schools and graduating from Fremont High School. It was in elementary school that she met her lifelong friend Mary Lewis, who she was still best friends with to this day. In 1956 Barbara met the love of her life, Ray Paulus, on a blind date. They married a year later on December 7, 1957 and have been happily married for almost 55 years.
Ray and Barbara moved to Burbank, CA where they raised their two daughters, Jan and Carol. For the last fifteen years they resided in Santa Barbara, where they watched their granddaughter Erin grow up. Just recently they moved back to Burbank to be near their youngest daughter, Carol.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Ray, daughters Jan (John), Carol (Leslie), stepson Steve (Mary) and granddaughter, Erin. She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Larissa.
