Bruce Edward Dahlberg
June 8, 1955 - July 5, 2012
Bruce left us while doing what he enjoyed.
He was visiting friends in Big Bear with
his family for the Fourth of July celebration
when he collapsed on a hike on a mountain
trail. Emergency services were called and the
response was the best from the fire department,
the paramedics, the sheriff’s department and
the US Forestry. A rescue helicopter was
overhead in the event transportation was
required but the terrain kept it from landing
in the immediate area. He was taken to a local
facility and was pronounced dead.
Bruce lived in Glendale for 52 of his 57 years,
and was a graduate of Hoover High School,
Glendale College, California State University
Los Angles and Art Center College of Design
in Pasadena. Upon graduation he spent
many years as the manager of a film studio in
Hollywood and in recent years was involved in
TV set production. He could make anything,
fix anything, install anything and he was often
asked to help his friends with their projects.
Bruce was involved in the Boy Scouts, the
local baseball team and volunteered for many
events at Village Christian Schools. He
enjoyed his Harley-Davidson connections, he
enjoyed camping and bike riding and of course
he enjoyed water sports that he excelled in
at Hoover and CSLA. The outdoors and his
yard in Shadow Hills were a very important
part of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Robin, son Troy
(9) and his father, Dr. William Dahlberg.
Services are scheduled for Wednesday, July
18 at Noon in the Old North Church at Forest
Lawn Hollywood Hills, interment will occur
later in the family columbarium. Donations
in Bruce’s name may be made to a charity of
your choice.
