Carole Martha Stavert June 20, 1935 - August 13, 2012
Carole Martha Stavert, age 77, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2012. She was born in Los Angeles, the only child of Juanita and Robert Pittack. She graduated from Marlborough School in 1953, attended USC, and married fellow Trojan Edward W. Stavert in 1955. Except for accompanying Ed on a three year tour of duty with the U.S. Air Force, she lived in Los Angeles all of her life.
Carole was always willing to give of herself to those she loved. She made friends easily and loved them dearly; she had friends from grammar school, high school, college, and from every group she joined and place she traveled. Several community groups benefited from her never ending generosity, leadership and loving care. She was a member of the USC Gamma Phi Beta Corporation Board, the Trojan League of the San Fernando Valley, the Junior League of Los Angeles, Chapter HG of PEO, and Hollygrove, the Los Angeles Orphans’ Home. She also contributed her time and expertise to the family business, Pickwick Gardens.
Carole believed in Christian ideals and was a tireless Republican supporter. However, her greatest love was for her family. She always provided loving advice and a helping hand to all and was the lighthouse that guided her family during good and bad weather.
In addition to her loving husband of 57 years, Carole leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Cathryn Stavert Line and Dr. Warren S. Line Jr., her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald William Stavert and Theresa Stavert, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Services will held privately for the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Providence St. Elizabeth Care Center, 10425 Magnolia Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601.
