Constance Ann Wren June 18, 1936 - January 3, 2013

Constance Ann Wren died peacefully on the morning of January 3, 2013 after a long and heroic battle with lung cancer. She was 76 years of age and died in San Gabriel, California.

She was born in Berkley, California, June 18, 1936. She was the daughter of Marian Burgess Holcomb LaFranchi and Dr. Edward Henry LaFranchi. She is survived by her brothers Charles LaFranchi, Stephen LaFranchi and a sister Caroline Meredith Gracis. Longtime friends include Marge Zaun and Lynn Rossi.

She was married to Edward Wren for over 20 years.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Wren (wife Dana Wren), Jeff Wren and Robert Wren (wife Randi Wren), and four Grandchildren, Thomas Wren, Lindley Wren, Hannah Wren and Jacob Wren. She is also survived by two nieces Gail Christine White and Maria Ann McNamara and six nephews, David & Jason LaFranchi, Christopher, Alexander and Brian LaFranchi, and Grant Gracis.

A native of Los Angeles California, Connie received her B.A. from U.S.C. and she was a passionate school teacher at Palm Crest Elementary in La Canada CA. She enjoyed reading books, talking politics, movies, charities and watching USC football games. She loved being a homemaker bringing up 3 boys, baking lemon freeze and knitting sweaters. She was a talented seamstress, often making dresses for her nieces. Connie will be fondly remembered as a
wonderful mother, sister and friend who was intelligent, loving, witty, gentle and social.

The Family will hold a morning service in Santa Maria Cemetery (1501 South College Avenue Santa Maria, CA 93454) on 26 January 10:30 A.M., where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved father and mother.
