Eleanor Jane Mars of Glendale, California died January 17 at Autumn Hills Health Care Center—Jane, world traveler, dog lover, and opera and theatre buff, will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jane is survived by her nephew Jim Mars (Joan), grandniece Jenn Gruden (Carl), and great grandnephews Noah and Liam Gruden, all of Toronto, Canada, and her grandniece Sarah Piper (Rich) and great grandniece Alexandra of Monkton, Maryland.

A graduate of UCLA, Jane retired in January, 2006, from Grey Advertising, where she administered radio spot billing for many years. She worked for Time Magazine in New York in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, for other advertising firms, and owned a commercial travel agency for a time.

Thanks to Dr. Robert Rivera and the staff of Autumn Hills. They were like family. Particular thanks to friends Michael Malone and Betty and Bob Peterson for all their help while Jane was ill.
