Joan Marlene Hargrove April 10, 1933 - February 12, 2013

Joan Marlene Hargrove was born April 10, 1933 in Sacramento, California; to George and Olga Von
Euer; passed away on February 12, 2013 in Glendale, California.

She attended Los Angeles City College and studied design. She entered the retail business and became general store manager for I. Magnin stores.

Joan later pursued her passion for gardens. She joined the Descanso Gardens Guild and eventually was elected president. Joan also became a member of P.E.O: Philanthropic Educational Organization. Through scholarships, this organization provides educational opportunities to women.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughters, Denise Schumann and Hillary Beecher
and five grandchildren.

A memorial tribute will be held at Oakmont Country Club on Saturday, February 23, at 11:00A.M.

Joan was a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and was highly regarded by her friends and colleagues. To know Joan was “to love her.”
