Alice Anne Gallagher, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Glendale on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

Alice was born in Bridgewater, Massachusetts on July 19, 1924 to William and Maude Dillon.
She was raised in Los Angeles, and became a Registered Nurse. She married the late Robert J.
Gallagher and after the birth of their first child, she became a full-time mother.

Alice loved gardening and was justifiably proud of her roses which she expertly cultivated. She loved gourmet cooking and trying out new recipes. She was a world traveler, but her favorite place of all was home, gathered with her family.

Alice was a woman of deep faith, and served her parish as a Eucharistic Minister to the Sick.

She leaves behind her eight children, Bill (Cheryl), Bob (Deirdre), Jody, Tom (Louise), Rick (Pam), Jim (Louise), Don and Paul, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the heart of our family, and will be greatly missed. We will always remember her smiling Irish eyes.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, April 1st, at 10:00 am at St. Robert Bellarmine
Catholic Church in Burbank. Interment will be private.

Our family would like to express our deep gratitude to the staff of Valley’s Best Hospice for the care and support they provided to us.

Arrangements made by Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary.
