Barbara Jo Nutting (Philipps) Locke May 4, 1939 - April 11, 2013

Barbara Jo Nutting (Philipps) Locke, longtime resident of Burbank, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 11, 2013 at Kaiser in Panorama City.

Barbara was born in Pella, Iowa on May 4, 1939 to Donald and Florence Nutting.

Barbara was a dedicated registered nurse for over 35 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed tennis, reading, bridge and bingo.

She is survived by her husband, John (Jack) Locke; her son, Michael Philipps and his daughter Cassandra; son Gregory Philipps and his daughter Heather; her sisters Margaret (Gordon) Walters and Nancy (Harry) Cohen and their families. She also leaves behind her stepchildren Debbie (Scott) Chin, Jim (Jessica) Locke and David (Sarah) Locke, and grandchildren Danny and Sammy Chin.

Memorial services will be held at Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Burbank on Saturday, April 20 at 10am.
