Pat Miller passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, April 2, 2013, at the age of 74. 33 years with Columbia Pictures, she retired as an executive secretary in 1998.

A resident of Burbank since 1970, she and her husband Jim were members of the local B.P.D, and Elks Club. They enjoyed life in Burbank and liked their quiet neighborhood where they had many friends.

Pat loved travelling, reading, and her rose garden. A varied assortment of family pets added joy to her life.

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, she came to California with a family member in 1962 and is survived by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Lois Shirley, two nieces, Ruth and Beth, two nephews, John and Robert in Pennsylvania, a stepdaughter, Janet Ritchie of Longview, WA, and a cousin, Sharlene Collins of Van Nuys.

Pat chose cremation and to have her ashes scattered at sea along with the remains of her husband.

A memorial service will be held at Valley Funeral Home, 2121 W. Burbank Blvd., on Friday, May 10th at 7:00 PM. Refreshments will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor.
